In 2022, the distribution of producing countries was as follows:

 

68% China

 

17% Bangladesh

 

11% Turkey

 

4% Ukraine

 

In China, we work with long-standing production partners, which makes sense not least because of the short delivery distances for bamboo, which is mainly grown in China.

 

In early 2022, we brought on board a new supplier from Bangladesh who is a pioneer in sustainability (read more in german: https://leslunes.de/blogs/posts/zu-besuch-in-unserer-produktionsstatte).  In 2023, we were able to move some of Les Lunes favorite parts to this production facility. 

 

We require all suppliers to be regularly audited by external assessors according to the industry standard amfori BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) or other comparable social standards.
